Are you looking for summer subtraction from 5, 10, 12 & 20 fun games for Key Stage 1? These Roll and Subtract activities will engage your students as they practice their subtraction fact fluency, which is an important mathematical skill. The games will help to memorise and recall maths facts easily and quickly. Taking away, or subtracting will be something they will find fun to do as they race to get the most kites. The games are for students to play in pairs. Use them as part of a subtraction lesson to practice these skills or a stand-alone activity for students who need extra practice with subtraction and prefer to play games rather than do lots of maths sheets. Checking that their friends have got the correct answer means that they have instant feedback if they have the answer right and if they disagree they can work it out together.
